Dear Cale Fans,

some people brought up the idea to create a Cale forum.

The question is: Do we really need a Cale forum? Why?

Because we can easily create own/new discussion topics without bothering an administrator. We can discuss topics which are not necessarily current affairs. We can upload quickly new pictures.

Are these reasons enough to have this forum? Please, let me know how much you are interested in it...or just start using it. Otherwise I will delete it again after some time.

And of course here apply also the standard rules: no porn, no violence, na racism, no sexism! Be nice to each other!

I think it's completely necessary. You guys have probably noticed, but lately on Hans' blog, more users have been posting in the recent news articles. There is definitely enough interest in a forum and now we won't have to discuss off-topic things in blog posts about upcoming Cale concerts. Let's try to get Hans to make a blog post about the forum or if possible maybe he can even link it on his site. I'm going to post a link on a Lou Reed forum I frequent to see if we can get some more members.

Great to meet you here! It seems some people got already registered today. That's great and it shows that there is definitely a necessity for a Cale forum.

It's a new Velvet Underground forum and they (also Hans) also discussed the option of a Cale forum within the VU forum. That VU forum is really cool with all the toys available in the web. But after all, even if there would be a Cale forum inside the VU forum, it's still a VU forum. As a Cale fan I wouldn't mind that much to have a separate forum...one without VU identity. But the other forum has many more applications... Let's see, if Hans wants to create this Cale forum inside the VU forum. If this happens, I definitely wouldn't mind to switch over. And I also already contacted Hans for a Blog post. Still waiting for a reply.

And will you join any Cale concert in the next months? I keep my fingers crossed for you that more dates will pop up in near future!

PS: Everything here is modifiable: the forum name, picture, the colours. I don't mind democracy... I just wanted to staaaaaaaaaaaaart it.

A separate forum would be nice but it's not a big deal. I'm not going to Europe with my friend anymore but I think I'm going to buy tickets to the Paris show when I get home. I think I may go by myself and then spend the weekend of the concert in Paris. Hopefully I can get a friend to go with me.

Welcome everybody at the forum!!!
We have already 20 registered users what is more than I expected.
Please, everybody who has suggestions for making it a better forum, let me know.
The problem is that I'm not a forum expert...
And Zig, also the forum's name can be changed... ...maybe to a title which gives your eyes a relief. I tried to find something really cunning, but English is not my mother tongue and that what happens when Germans try to be cunning in a foreign language...
Anyway, I hope we all are going to have great discussions in future about the Maestro!
